TASTE OF NATURE

‘Taste of Nature’ aims to highlight the prevailing destruction to our natural world, with chosen themes representing the direct result of human ignorance.

The photographic series questions ideas concerning the permanent consequences of the damage we are causing, while playing with the notions of consumerism and our hindered attitude towards the accessibility of products being at the end of our fingertips, more so than ever before. Deforestation, oceanic pollution and rising sea levels are key drivers in environmental concern and, with the current rate of destruction, we are fast approaching an irreversible state.

The glass containers signify the consideration of a preservation tactic, not in the interest of the environment but for the pleasure of the consumer. A last resort to being able to experience some of the world’s most fascinating and enriching places, no longer there to be admired in person.
